“We don't measure everything. We measure what the line actually needs — and we measure it right. What doesn't fit our method, we say so.”
Questions industrial buyers typically ask us.
How does density-independent moisture measurement work? +
Microwaves pass through the material. From two resonance parameters (amplitude and phase) the method computes water content and density simultaneously — and removes density. Result: a stable moisture value, independent of material variation.
What does 2-PMR (Two-Parameter Microwave Resonance) mean? +
2-PMR is the resonance method we developed in 2001 together with Prof. Knöchel at CAU Kiel. It is the basis of all our inline systems and density-independent through simultaneous evaluation of two resonance variables.
Can the systems be used at high product temperatures? +
Yes. MoistureScan XT is rated for bulk goods up to 140 °C — typically installed directly downstream of a fiber dryer on an MDF line. For ATEX zones 21/22 there is also the EX variant.
Which interfaces do you support? +
OPC UA, Profibus DP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, classical 4-20 mA. Calibration is PTB-traceable.
How fast is the inline measurement? +
Sample rate up to 100 Hz. That lets you control the dryer output practically without delay and avoid stop-and-go shifts.
