Where MoistureScan XT works.
FAQ MoistureScan XT.
What is MoistureScan XT designed for? +
Industrial bulk materials at elevated temperatures. Typical installations: after the fiber dryer in MDF lines, at the conditioner outlet of a pellet line, at the inlet of a particle press.
How does the XT variant differ from the base MoistureScan? +
The XT is rated for product temperatures up to 140 °C — the base MoistureScan goes to 100 °C. Sensor antennas and electronics are thermally decoupled.
Do we need the EX variant? +
If your line is in ATEX zone 21 or 22 — yes. Pellet, particle and flour lines are typically zone 22.
Installation effort? +
Mechanical: one sensor mounted across the material flow or in a bypass. Electrical: 24 V + data line. PLC integration usually takes half a day.
