Definition. What to consider in zones 21/22 and when the EX variant is mandatory.
ATEX zone 21: continuously dust-explosion-capable atmosphere. Zone 22: occasionally. Pellet, particle and flour lines typically fall under zone 22, often 21.
Equipment in such areas must be EX-certified. We supply the MoistureScan XT EX with explosion protection per Directive 2014/34/EU.
Important: Cabling and cabinet concept must also be certified. We support engineering teams with the design.
